About Us

XRoads Bar (pronounced as crossroads) is a neighborhood style bar.  A great place where you can hangout with old friends, make new friends, drink and have a conversation, dance the night away or simply just be yourself. It is an alternative venue for people preferring a more intimate bar experience offering a selection of draft beers and other alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.

What makes our bar different?

• XRoads is a self-service bar, not to save money on staff, but to encourage you to circulate. Make new friends and enjoy!
• At the pool table, “winner stays, loser pays” is strictly observed. The winner then plays with the next person on the list. Chances are, you get to play with a stranger. Don’t fret, you can either gain a new friend or at least improve your game.
• Don’t be glued to your seat. Stand up and strut on our US-style dance floor. Check out your moves on our full-length mirrors as you try to impress that cute one you had your eye on.

The “NO” list:

• No smoking indoors. We have the balcony and courtyard for your smoke break. Let’s keep the air clean inside the bar for those who don’t smoke and our staff as well.
• No drinking on the dance floor. To maintain our US-style dance floor in very good condition, drinking and eating on the dance floor is not allowed.
• No illegal activities.
• Do not endanger yourself, other guests, our facilities and the staff.
• Drink responsibly. Don’t drink more than you can handle, most specially don’t drink and drive.
• Lastly, don’t do anything you’ll regret when you’re sober.

Cards FAQ

Xroads cards is our sole way of trade. You can get one, load/reload and cash out only to the cashier. Any other staff is not allowed to handle cash and make those transactions. Here are some  facts with our card system:

• You can check your balance and transactions at the tablet kiosks around the bar.
• Tips are not mandatory but greatly appreciated. Inform the cashier how much you would like to place as tip upon check out or reload.

POSTPAID Evenings

Get a card, swipe when you get a drink and pay to the cashier before leaving.

PREPAID Evenings

Get a card and load it with your desired amount at the cashier, swipe when you get a drink, reload anytime at the cashier.

Special EVENTS

Group events run on prepaid system. Organizers can choose from the following: Client/Host pays for everything, guests will shoulder their orders or a combination of both.

Bar Manager

The manager will be responsible for running the bar with only occasional presence by the owners. The manager will help establish the operational standards and then ensure that standards are followed. This will include creating a fun working environment, maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming venue and ensuring that our guests are having a good time.
The Manager will be responsible for some marketing, business development and retention initiatives.  You must be a self-starter, creative, hard-working and dependable. Daily communications with the owners will be required via phone conversations in English. In an American style, our manager will have much more responsibility than would be typical from a local owner. Pay will be better as well.
Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in HRM / Hospitality or similar
• At least 3 years work experience in the food and / or beverage service industry in supervisory or managerial level
• Pleasant personality
• Strong service orientation
• EXCELLENT command of spoken English is absolutely required. You must be able to think in English, not just translate.
• Strong interpersonal skills
• At least 35 years old in good physical shape
• Good computer skills
• Comfortable with and around the LGBT community members

DJ

The DJ will be responsible for setting the musical environment for the bar. The DJ will help establish the setting and vibe of the bar. He or she will play mainly current and classic Country music but will not be limited to the genre. The DJ will also be required to play current International songs (Argentina, Spain, Mexico, etc.), current mainstream songs (Top 40, Pop, Alternative, etc.), and some popular old songs (70′s, 80′s, and 90′s).
Friday and Saturday nights will have a club vibe so playing and/or creating club remixes of songs will also be required.
You must be a self-starter, creative, hard-working and dependable. Daily communications with the owners may be required via phone conversations in English.
This is a full-time position. You will be asked to work for 40 to 50 hours per week. This includes hunting for music, developing your set, and coordinating with the owners on how they want the music to flow.
Requirements:

• excellent command of the English language
• may or may not have professional DJ experience
• ability to motivate the audience
• master of ceremonies or professional entertainment experience preferred
• must have extensive knowledge of large a variety of music
• must have ability to operate a variety of music audio equipment (Pioneer® DDJ-SX running Serato® DJ)
• music production (remix, mash-up, bootleg, etc.) knowledge will be an advantage
